The Spiderwick Chronicles

The Spiderwick Chronicles is a 2008 fantasy film adaptation of Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi's bestselling series of the same name. Set in the Spiderwick Estate in New England, it follows the adventures of Jared Grace and his family as they discover a field guide to faeries and battle goblins and other magical creatures. It was directed by Mark Waters and stars Freddie Highmore, Sarah Bolger, Martin Short, Nick Nolte, and Seth Rogen. Produced by Nickelodeon Movies and distributed by Paramount Pictures, it was released on February 14, 2008. The film will also be released on DVD and Blu-ray on 24 June 2008 in the United States.

Kung Fu Panda

Kung Fu Panda is a 2008 animated film about a bungling panda who aspires to be a kung fu warrior. Kung Fu Panda is directed by John Stevenson and Mark Osborne and produced by Melissa Cobb. Although the concept of a kung fu panda has been around since at least 1993, the idea for the film was conceived by Michael Lachance, a DreamWorks Animation executive. Work on the film did not begin until 2004 and the film premièred at the 61st Cannes Film Festival in May 2008. The film was released internationally on June 6, 2008, but will be released in the United Kingdom on July 4, 2008. The film is distributed by Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks.

Finding Nemo is a 2003 computer-animated American family film. It was written by Andrew Stanton, directed by Stanton and Lee Unkrich and produced by Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures. It tells the story of the clownfish Marlin (Albert Brooks) and his search for his son Nemo (Alexander Gould) with a regal tang called Dory (Ellen DeGeneres). He learns in the process to be less protective of his son.

Bring It On: In It to Win It

Bring It On: In It to Win It is a 2007 teen film directed by Steve Rash and starring Ashley Benson, Michael Copon and Cassie Scerbo. It is the fourth film in the Bring It On franchise, which focuses on competitive high school cheerleading. It was shot at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando. It was released direct-to-video on December 18, 2007 in the United States and had a television premier on January 20, 2008 on ABC Family. It is not a direct sequel to the previous Bring It On films, and does not feature any returning cast members, nor reference its predecessors.

Santa Clause 3

The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause is a 2006 American film, the sequel to The Santa Clause and The Santa Clause 2.
Tim Allen again plays Scott Calvin (Santa Claus), while Martin Short plays Jack Frost, a competing holiday character. David Krumholtz, who previously played the head elf Bernard, does not make an appearance in this third installment because of contractual issues.
Production was completed in February 2006. The movie was released in theaters on November 3, 2006 in the US followed by a release date of November 24 for the UK.

The Santa Clause 2 (UK title: The Santa Clause 2: The Mrs. Clause) is a 2002 film and the sequel to the 1994 film, The Santa Clause. All the principal actors from the first film reprise their roles. According to Box Office Mojo, the film cost around $65 million to make and had domestic (U.S.) box office receipts approaching $140 million.
The film was followed by another sequel, The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, made in 2006.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (released in the UK as The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants) is an American film, based on the novel of the same name by Ann Brashares, and released on June 1, 2005 by Warner Bros. Pictures. It was directed by Ken Kwapis and written by Delia Ephron.
The film's production budget was $25 million. At the box office, it brought in a total domestic gross of $39 million. The DVD was released in the United States on October 11, 2005, and features on-camera commentary by Amber Tamblyn Alexis Bledel, and America Ferrera and deleted scenes (discussed by Kwapis).

RV or Runaway Vacation is a 2006 comedy film starring Robin Williams, Cheryl Hines, Jeff Daniels, JoJo, Kristin Chenoweth, and Josh Hutcherson. The movie began filming in the Vancouver area and southern Alberta on May 25, 2005 and finished filming in December 2005. It was released on April 28, 2006 in North America. The film was released on DVD and Blu-ray on August 15, 2006.

Racing Stripes

Racing Stripes is a 2005 adventure/comedy movie, directed by Frederik Du Chau. It is similar in the style to the 1995 movie Babe, in that the protagonist is a talking animal who lives on a farm and succeeds at an activity not expected of his species. The movie was filmed in Pietermaritzburg and Nottingham Road, South Africa.

In a rush to pack up during a thunderstorm, the Circus Sorano (a traveling circus) accidentally leaves behind a baby zebra. The foal is rescued by Nolan Walsh, a retired thoroughbred-racehorse trainer. Nolan takes the zebra home to his farm, and leaves it in the care of his daughter Channing, who names him "Stripes".

Nancy Drew

Nancy Drew is a feature film released on June 15, 2007 in the U.S., loosely based on the popular series of mystery novels about the titular teen detective. It stars Emma Roberts as Nancy Drew, Kay Panabaker as George, Amy Bruckner as Bess Marvin, and Max Thieriot as Ned. The film is rated PG for mild violence, thematic elements and brief language. Set in Los Angeles, it was directed by Andrew Fleming.
Critics' reaction to it was mixed, with the film scoring a 48% at Rotten Tomatoes. One reviewer felt that it "caters to an exclusive club whose members are prone to overlook its numerous faults" and it was mocked in The New Yorker. The critics who did like it generally thought it was refreshing.

Spy Kids 3-D

Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over (Spy Kids 3: Game Over on VHS releases, Pay-Per-View and pay channels, as well as TV airings) is a 2003 action adventure family film directed by Robert Rodriguez, and is the third and final film in the Spy Kids trilogy. It was released in the United States on July 25, 2003. Some of the parts of the movie were filmed in Congress Avenue and the Texas State Capitol. The film takes place with a boy, Juni in the video game saving sister, Juni with new crush Demetra and others, Francis, Arnold and Rez with friends, Gerti and Gary returned from Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams.

Juni Cortez is now a P.I. to make money to play an online game called "Game Over".

Spy Kids 2: Island Of Lost Dreams is a 2002 family-oriented spy film that includes science fantasy elements. It was written and directed by Robert Rodriguez. It is the second film in the Spy Kids trilogy, which began with 2001's Spy Kids.

Carmen Cortez and Juni Cortez have become agents of the OSS and face particularly hard competition with Gary (Matt O'Leary) and Gerti Giggles (Emily Osment), the children of double-dealing agent Donnagon Giggles (Mike Judge), whom Carmen and Juni helped to rescue in the previous film. Donnagon wants to steal the "transmooker", a device that can shut off all electronic devices, so he can take control of the world. Carmen and Juni follow the trail to a mysterious island, which is home to Romero (Steve Buscemi), a lunatic scientist. Romero has been attempting to create genetically-miniaturized animals, but has instead ended up with mutated "monsters" populating the island. After a number of action sequences, the spy kids (with the help of their family, Romero and Gerti Giggles) destroy the transmooker and defeat Donnagon, who is then fired by the president. Juni quits afterwards due to the impersonal treatment of agents by the OSS.

Spy Kids is the first film of the Spy Kids trilogy. It is directed and written by Robert Rodriguez. It stars Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara and was released in 2001. Rodriguez also produced with Elizabeth Avellan and Guillermo Navarro and was the editor of the film. The film was released in United States theaters on March 18, 2001 and on DVD on September 28, 2001.

Carmen and Juni Cortez live with what they think are their boring parents. However, they don't know yet that they are secret spies. Their parents, Gregorio and Ingrid Cortez were married at the edge of a cliff. During the wedding ceremony, a strange helicopter flies overhead. They escape the attack by jumping off the cliff, landing in a boat with a "Just Married" banner in the back. They retire from the Office of Strategic Services, the spy organization they were working for, to raise their family

Treasure Planet is a 2002 science fiction animated feature film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation, and released by Walt Disney Pictures on November 27, 2002.
The 42nd animated feature in the Disney animated features canon, the film is a science fiction adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's adventure novel Treasure Island. It was produced and directed by Ron Clements and John Musker from a screenplay by Musker, Clements, and Rob Edwards.
The film employs a novel technique of hand-drawn 2D traditional animation set atop 3D computer animation. A similar dichotomy was used for the character of the cyborg John Silver: his natural body is hand-animated, but his mechanical arm and eye are computer animated.
It is the first film ever to be released simultaneously in regular and IMAX theaters.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is a Anglo-American 2007 fantasy adventure film, based on the novel of the same name, by J. K. Rowling. It was directed by David Yates, produced by David Heyman's company Heyday Films, and the screenplay was written by Michael Goldenberg. It is the fifth film in the Harry Potter film series. It follows Harry Potter in his fifth year at the magic school Hogwarts. The Ministry of Magic refuses to believe the return of Lord Voldemort and appoints bureaucrat Dolores Umbridge as a teacher at the school. She slowly becomes an authoritarian figure in the school.
Live-action filming started in February 2006 and finished at the end of November. Post-production on the film continued for several months afterwards. Warner Bros., the distributor of the film, released it in the UK on 12 July 2007, and in the U.S. on 11 July, both in conventional and IMAX theatres.
It was the sixth-highest grossing film of all time, and a critical and commercial success, acclaimed by Rowling, who has consistently offered praise for the film adaptations of her work, as "the best one yet".

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a 2005 fantasy adventure film, based on J. K. Rowling's novel of the same name, and is the fourth film in the popular Harry Potter film series.
Directed by Mike Newell, the film concerns Harry Potter's fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hogwarts has been selected to hold the recently returning wizard competition known as the Triwizard Tournament. Though Harry does not apply, the Goblet of Fire mysteriously selects him as a second representative of Hogwarts in the tournament.
Three days after its release, the film had grossed over US$102 million at the North American box office, the highest first-weekend tally for a Harry Potter film, and enjoyed an immensely successful run at the box office, earning over $896 million worldwide, making it the highest grossing film of 2005 and the 8th-highest grossing film of all time. It was the third highest grossing film in the U.S. for 2005 making $290 million. It is currently the 11th highest-grossing film of all time. The DVD went on to become the fastest selling DVD of all time. It is currently the third-highest grossing Harry Potter film, behind Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Art Direction, but lost to Memoirs of a Geisha.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is a 2004 fantasy adventure film, based on the novel of the same name by J. K. Rowling. Directed by Alfonso Cuarón, it is the third film in the popular Harry Potter films series. It stars Daniel Radcliffe as the teenage wizard Harry Potter, and Rupert Grint and Emma Watson as Harry's best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Gary Oldman and David Thewlis joined the cast as the new characters Sirius Black and Remus Lupin. In this movie, the role of Albus Dumbledore was played by Michael Gambon who took over from the late Richard Harris who died of Hodgkin's disease. Steve Kloves returned as screenwriter, while Chris Columbus (the director of the previous two films) became a producer, alongside David Heyman. The film was released on May 31, 2004 in the UK and on June 4, 2004 in the US. It was nominated for two Academy Awards; Academy Award for Original Music Score and Academy Award for Visual Effects.
